Terms

Last updated 22 September 2026

The short version.

  • One person runs Norte, not a company. It's a real product you can pay for. It isn't an enterprise service and doesn't pretend to be.
  • You pay in Telegram Stars, per household, for a 30-day period. Whatever's left over when a period renews doesn't carry forward.
  • Cancelling isn't a refund. What you already bought runs to the end of its period.
  • Norte can be wrong. It's built on a language model. Check anything that matters.

What this is

Norte is a Telegram bot that keeps todos, reminders, a shopping list, recipes, a meal plan and a calendar for you and the people you live with. One person in the Netherlands builds and runs it, as an individual rather than a company. Using it means you agree to what's on this page. If you need their name and address, before paying or to bring a claim, ask at the address at the bottom of this page and you'll be given them.

Who can use it

You need a Telegram account and you have to be at least 16. One person belongs to one household. A household can have several members, who share its lists, calendar, recipes and reminders, and never see each other's work or personal ones.

What it costs

Every new household gets one free trial grant of 200 ⭐. It's an amount, not a period. It lasts until you've spent it, which for everyday use is a week or two, and if you use Norte less than that, nothing takes away what's left. Buying a plan starts a fresh period and zeroes whatever is left of the trial, under the no-rollover rule below. Once the grant has run out, a household is on a plan, paid in Telegram Stars through Telegram's own payment system. Current plans and prices are shown by /plan in the bot, and that's always the authoritative version.

Billing is per household, not per person, and it's metered: an AI reply costs more than tapping a button. What you have left is shown by /balance whenever you want it.

What a purchase actually buys

A plan buys a balance for a 30-day period. It isn't a stored-value account. Two things follow from that, and they're worth spelling out, because they catch people out:

  • There's no rollover. When a period renews, any balance left from the period that just ended is zeroed. You're buying a month of use, not topping up a wallet.
  • Running out stops new AI replies, not Norte. Your lists, reminders, calendar and buttons all keep working at a zero balance. What stops is asking Claude something new, until the period renews or you top up with /topup.

Renewals, cancelling and refunds

  • A subscription renews every 30 days through Telegram until you cancel it, which you do in Telegram's own interface.
  • Cancelling isn't a refund. What you already bought runs to the end of its period and then simply doesn't renew.
  • Refunds are at the operator's discretion and go through Telegram. If something went wrong, ask. /feedback reaches a person.
  • If you're a consumer in the EU, nothing on this page affects your statutory rights.

Norte can be wrong

This is the most important thing here. Norte answers using a language model, and language models say things confidently whether or not they're right. It might mis-hear a date, file a todo in the wrong place, summarise your calendar badly, or set a reminder for a time you didn't mean.

Treat Norte as a convenience, not a system of record. Don't rely on it alone for anything with a real consequence: a medical appointment, a legal deadline, a flight, a medication. Check the original. Scheduled messages also depend on Telegram and on hosting that can go down, so a reminder that never arrives is possible.

Using it sensibly

Don't use Norte to:

  • break the law, or store or generate material that does;
  • harass anybody, including other members of your own household;
  • attack the service, so no automated abuse, no scraping, and no trying to reach another household's data;
  • resell it, or put it in front of your own users as if it were yours.

You're responsible for what you put into Norte, including anything you type about other people.

Suspension and ending it

A household can be suspended for abuse or non-payment. Suspension stops new AI replies. It deletes nothing, and your lists and reminders carry on working. You'll be told the household is paused rather than left to work it out.

You can stop whenever you like: cancel the subscription, block the bot, or delete your account outright with /deleteme in the bot (see the privacy page). Norte might be discontinued, and if it is you'll get reasonable notice and a chance to get your data out.

What is not promised

Norte is provided as it is, with no guarantee that it will be available, uninterrupted or free of mistakes. There's no uptime commitment and no support contract. One person maintains it, and it leans on Telegram, Anthropic, Google and a hosting provider, any of which can change or fail.

As far as the law allows, liability for any claim connected to Norte is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before it came up. Nothing here limits liability for anything that can't legally be limited, and nothing here takes away the statutory rights of a consumer in the EU.

Changes

These terms can change. If a change matters, the date at the top changes and Norte says so in the chat. Carrying on using it after that means you accept the new version.

Law

Dutch law applies, and the courts of the Netherlands have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, that doesn't deprive you of the protection of the law where you live.
